A Smile on My Heart

Yesterday while getting dressed my little 3 year old came into the bathroom. She looked me up and down smiling. You know that curious little smirk with wonderment that little children have. With this big smile that stretched from ear to ear she spoke, "I want to be like you mommy when I grow up". That just put a smile on my heart. Later on I thought about those words she had spoken to me and I thought ok by the time she is fifteen years old there will be bars on her door and windows. LOL No, really now, those words I will always cherish, one to put in her baby book. Babies grow up so quickly. It is funny how I look back at pictures of my twenty one year old and sometimes those moments seem like yesterday. Where did all of those years go? Heck, I still don't have her baby book done yet, kick me in my you know what! I always say someday I will be done. All I know is I have so much to do, so little time in a day and I have many keepsakes to finish for all my girls. When I leave this world, if I leave one memory for my girls and grand babies, it will be for them to know how much I really love them.... I love them to the depths of the sea where there is no end, to the endless skies where the stars shine so bright and when they lay their little heads down to close their sleepy eyes I hope they dream of our shared fond memories. ~Peaceful Thoughts to You and Yours~ Tammy

~A Perfect Day~

Happy Summer Day to All!
What a beautiful day I shared with my family. I could not of asked for a more Perfect Day. We went to one of those little town shindigs that have a carnival, parade and food. The kids just love this! Actually I do too, it brings back all those childhood memories. My girls get so excited over the fire trucks and the Marching Bands and yes, "The Candy". Flags were passed out and the Veterans were there marching with pride carrying the US flag. I have a special place in my heart for all Veterans and it always makes me feel so thankful for them. There were also men and women playing the bagpipes as they marched. I love the beautiful music that comes out of such a piece of a complicated instrument. I always remember my father when I hear this music. At his funeral there was The 21 gun Salute and the Bagpipers played. To me the music is so beautiful and sad at the same time. Memorial Day is a time for remembering all of our loved ones that have passed on and Veteran's Day is a time to remember and to honor them. Why do we take only one day for this? Let us always remember them at any time and always keep that special place open to them. Life is so short and it seems like the older I get, the faster it goes. Stop and spend a little time with a family member or relative, a friend you have not stopped to visit for awhile and make that phone call you have been putting off because you think there is always tomorrow. For some tomorrow never comes and for some they need that call or visit. Life really is short and I know the old saying "Life is what you make of it". So put a smile on someones heart:)

Learning Experiences

WOW! There is so much to learn when starting on ebay and now I am starting a blog at 1:30 in the morning. You know the saying, no rest for the wicked. LOL! Learning HTML oh my! No I did not mean Lions and tigers and bears. HA just a little humor. It is hard to get things done when the kids are up running around so I find it easier to do it after they go to bed. I just pay for it when they are up oh between 6:30 and 7 am. My little 4 year old learned something new this evening. She drew me pretty pictures and told me she hung them on the wall. I figured she used scotch tape. Nope was I wrong. About a half of tube of stick glue was used on my wall. Cute! I just stuck a new piece to the back and then we hung it up with tape. She didn't know and she wanted her Rembrandt art up. Just to see her smile when draws me something is so precious. Well now, off to see if I can get me picture on my blog and off to a place of relaxation called my bed. Sleep is needed for me to funtion. Have peaceful dreams, Tammy~
