~Ole Man Winter~

~The Nut Thief~

Ole Man Winter came and paid us a very cold, icy and slushy day today. We have been having terrible weather all day and it does not seem to want to stop. I see all the tiny little buds are out on the trees and the tulips are starting to peek out. I just hope Mother Nature gives a little mercy upon this soon to be green earth.

Just yesterday, we were watching the beautiful Blue Jays steal peanuts out of the feeder. We have so much fun watching them steal the nuts from the squirrels feeder, hide them under leaves and then keep taking all of the peanuts until it is empty. The squirrels do not seem to mind though because they find them under the leaves. I think they could actually start their own comic show. LOL :} Our yard has been filled with Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Morning Doves, Squirrels and oh yes those pesty Black Birds.

A Day Away

Ah, a day away with my oldest daughter was so NICE! I love hanging out with my oldest daughter, shopping, going out to eat, having our fav Starbucks, talking and just relaxing. I stayed over on Friday night and we went scrap booking all day on Saturday. This has now become a bad habit that she loves! We love looking back at our kids when they were first born and just the reminiscing together. This will now become one of our monthy rituals together and we are already looking forward to the next one together. I loved spending time with you Rani, Love You! There is nothing better then just to get away from home and from everything and to take time for yourself.

I have to give a big thanks to my hubby for staying home with the girls and he had the house all in order so I could come home and relax some more! So sweet! Love you too honey!!

Not much else going on at my little nest and now I must tend to my chicks who feel so deprived because I was gone for a day. They are so funny!

I hope you all had a very nice weekend and got to have a little piece of time for yourself. Cherish a moment and hold it close to your heart.

As Always,

Innocence

Innocence

This single, one word is thee only word needed that captivates such a pureness.

This picture is just so precious. My husband took this beautiful picture of my little girl McKenzie and my little grand baby Jali. She just adores her little niece.

Just thought I would share this photo my husband took because I am so proud of his ability to capture a moment.

I hope you took time for yourself today and smiled at yourself.

~Easter Creations~

Easter is almost over with, kids tucked snuggly into their beds after an all day sugar rush, the house is a mess but I needed a break for Me! So, I decided to learn how to add pictures to my log and found out how easy it really is. As you can tell I think I went a little overboard but I just had to show off all of my girls!
My grand baby Jali's 1st Easter!
She found her egg! Isn't she just the sweetest!
This is my little honey, Rhea, my oldest grand child who is on the egg hunt!

Showing off those big, brown beautiful eyes is my middle grand baby Zoie. She wants to share one of her favorite candies with me, a tootsie roll!

Here is my oldest daughter Rani showing me her beautiful smile. She will always be my little girl.

Smiles to You~

Here is my middle babygirl Macayla, proudly showing off her Easter artwork. I found this really fun egg kit and the girls had so much fun with it!

All Grins to YOU~
Here is my baby, baby girl McKenzie, just loving what she created!

I hope you all had a Blessed Easter and were able to share it with a loved one. May you drift away into peaceful dreams this evening.

~Easter Blessings~

I thought I should take the time now to bless all of you with a Peaceful Easter. I shall be very busy soon preparing to portray "The Easter Bunny" whom the children look forward to receiving a visit from every year. I love getting the holiday happenings ready for my children and grandchildren. It just puts that smile on my heart when I see the excitement in all of their sweet, little faces.

We were hoping to hide the eggs outside but Easter is coming pretty early this year and it is still pretty wet outside. We are expecting 1 to 4 inches of snow sometime on Thursday but we are keeping our fingers crossed. I am so ready for spring. It got to be 50 degrees today and lucky me got to wear a spring jacket! I could smell the fresh scents of spring in the air and the sun was shining so bright I had to wear my shades. All I can say is that it was a beautiful day.

~Easter is a Blessing~
Easter is a memory time...
Of colored eggs and pretty dresses,
Of yellow chicks and curly tresses.
Easter is a renewing time...
For baby bunnies, birds and bees,
For sun and rain on budding trees.
Easter is a grateful time...
For all our blessings every day,
For health and friends along the way.
Easter is a believing time...
That Christ arose for us to see
The way to grow eternally.
Easter is a joyful time...
For thoughts, for growth, for songs to sing,
Yes, Easter is a constant spring.
Ruth Carrington~
I hope you all have a very blessed Easter and you are able to share it with someone you love.
May your basket be overflowing with Thankfulness and Blessings.

Happy Birthday Baby

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE PEANUT MCKENZIE!! :)

I can hardly believe that my baby is 4 years old today, where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday she was born to us from the heavens above. What a precious gift. Holding her tiny little body in my arms as she listened to me sing sweet lullabies as I placed a kiss upon her rosy cheek. She has become so independent and it amazes me at the wonderment that children have. She wants to know everything. Her sweet innocence just makes me smile. As you can tell my baby girl loves purple (pink too but it did not show up so well) so today is for her.

Mama's Lullaby

Baby dear, Mama's here,

Watching o'er your slumber.

Dream, my child, until the dawn

Wakes the daisies on the lawn.

Dream you float in a boat,

Under starry heavens;

Dreams of brooks and singing birds,

Scented breezes, tender woods.

Dream of all, great and small,

Things serene and lovely;

Fairies, lambs, and butterflies,

Sleepy clouds in summer skies.

Sleep all night, in my sight,

Though you're off in dreamland;

Then, tomorrow, with the sun.

Back to Mama, little one!

What is a Thank you???

So to all of you who may take a little peek at my corner of the world, as you can tell I have I have not been keepin up on my Blog. I just do not know where all of the time goes. Well late last night my sister called me and asked if I had been in my email because she sent me something. I assumed a picture or a funny knee slapping joke. When I opened my email boy did I have nice surprise.

A Banner that she created just for me!!! I LOVE IT!!!

She is so creative. I do not know where she finds time to do all that she does! So Thank you so much Tonya ~ I really love my banner!

Now you may ask, what does a Thank you really mean, have you ever really thought about it? A thank you to me is when you feel the sincerity from the receiver. You get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside knowing that you did something to make someone else happy or you know you helped someone else out. It just puts a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart.

Saying thank you to someone is normality for a deed that one has received. But a sincere Thank you is in the way that you say it and really mean it. I can say thank you to someone who hands me my food through drive through or when I get my change back at a store that is the norm of our manners that we have been taught. But there are those that go beyond just one step further. Someone that smiles at you when they are giving you your food or change in drive through, someone that converses with you while waiting in line being checked out and they may share a little about themselves, somone that sees an expression on your face and asks you how you feel. There are so many ways to say thank you to someone but I think the best way is when you say thank you, say it with a smile in your voice. Because if the person can not see you at least they can hear you and they in turn will smile back. And that is a warm feeling to have on your heart~

I know a long blog to say thank you to someone but my sister took the time to make me something when she probably had a million things to do. She thought of me and I really appreciate that because we do not see each other a lot with our busy lives. I know that she had a warm fuzzy feeling inside of her because I could not only hear her smile in her voice I could feel it in my heart. And I know she could hear my smile and feel the Thank you when I said it.
