~My Little Corner Shop~

Hello to All~
Well I told you that I would get my pictures posted this week of my shop~ Scrapping on the Go & Pictures Delight Photography by Michael J.. This is my home away from home and I LOVE IT! It relaxes me and I could stay here forever! So take a little stroll with me and I will show you around.

This is the store front. The owners are getting ready to paint YAAA! I am sure it will look nice. The owners of the buildings are wonderful people! I am a lucky person!

This is what you will see as soon as you walk into my shop. There is a big wall towards the back and I thought this suited the wall very well. This quote completes the shop.

Ok, check out the curtains, yup, paper. I LOVE paper and this is from Pink Paislee. Love their products! Yes, I have their beautiful products here at Scrapping on the Go. The lace is Artsylicous by Chatterbox. Oh, ya baby I carry their products too. And MMM ya yummy! A beautiful line that I am also proud to carry. You can not really see them very well but there are little crystal beads on the bottom of the curtain that seem to add that little touch! Those are from my Heidi Swapp line. She has really fun items that I love too. I guess I love everything I have in my store! My motto is, "You have to love what you sell". There is not one item I carry that I would not use in scrapbooking. I have all quality items in a very unique little store with a lot to offer.

This is the kid's corner. Parents can shop and let the kids play in a very "kid safe environment" . The children love it!More pictures of all the goodies!

This is my little ole corner. I love old vintage things and so I mixed it up in this corner. This is my favorite area.

More product! There is Maya Road and 7 Gypsies and Tim Holtz. Lots of goodies!

The kitchen area. This is a good meeting area! My scrappers love this area when I have the goodies out! This is another fav, it's where I keep the coffee hot!

This is the Scrap room. I can seat up to 11 very comfortably and this is where people make their magic happen!

I hope you have enjoyed My Little Corner Shop and yes my shop is also really on a corner. I guess that kind of fits my blog name. LOL My husband Mike shares the scrap room with me. When he has photo shoots we take down the tables and chairs and he sets up his stuff. We also have a Kodak Picture Maker so the customers love that part of it too. The two shops work hand in hand together. You can create a memory with Mike and scrap a keepsake with Tammy. Thanks for stopping by!

~Labor of Love~

Labor Day Blessings to all of YOU! It does not matter if you work 80 hours away from home or stay home and take care of children, a family member or whatever if you have to do to make a living. This is your day! May you enjoy the weather by kicking back and doing something that you love to do.

We cooked out, well hubby cooked out and I hibernated in. The hot weather and I do not get along too well. Kids played and now I am writing with a hot cup of Java and mmmm a chocolate biscotti! Just one of my favs! Went and purchased a BIG container of them with three kinds in there. A minute on my lips and forever on my hips, I know that old saying but hey they are both paid for and I will only live once! LOL In that case I might have another, (wink & smile) while I lick the chocolate off of my lips. My mother got me started on these, I blame her, LOL. Baaaadddd habit!

Ok, so how do you like the above pics? My husband has been working hard on his part of our new shop. His part is Pictures Delight Photography by Michael J. . He is doing such a good job! I would love to post some of the work he has been doing with some of his customers but I do not have the rights he does but I can post my girls. The first one is Cayla being a model, still loves her picture being taken. The middle one is my baby McKenzie. I know kind of a boyish look but I like it! And the one where she is wearing a hat, well need I say more?

Here is my Macayla. Mike has been testing out some new things and this is her in the stars but to me it looks like she is a mermaid coming out of the water. I can hardly wait to create a scrapbook page with this. I am kind of excited to get that done along with the other one million things that I want to do. LOL Isn't she pretty!

And here we are my hubby, Mike and that's me. We never get our picture taken together and we needed it for an ad that was going in the paper. So here we are at 2 am, he set up in our home, set the timer and wola here we are! I had to post it because other than our engagement picture and wedding picture this is the next one in line. I think it is a very nice picture of us together.
So with a ~Labor of Love~ I guess one can accomplish so much. Mike forgot to take pictures of our shop this past week so we will try to get them on my blog this week sometime. Hope you have great week!

~Playing Catch Up~

Ok, I know I can never stay on top of my blog, what is a woman to do? LOL I know I said I would be be better but I really do not know where all of the time goes! Ok last post, the fair, the was funny! Maybe for you to read but I had to live it! Above is my Macayla we were hanging out at the park and she wanted her picture taken. Can you tell she is not shy!

Here is my baby McKenzie. We found wild raspberries her fav. She is seeing how fast she can eat them! She did a pretty good job!

Well where should I begin. Oh ya here I am everybody is sleeping I just got with housework and now I am unwinding. I have to open the store in 9 hours so I will go with my eyes feeling like gravel that's ok I am use to it.

The store is doing ok for it being open for 4 weeks. I have had sooo many compliments. Big Grand Opening next week! I am soooo excited but lots to do before that. I am having fun though. I really feel so relaxed sometimes I just do not want to leave my little nest that we have created. We already decided if this store takes off we want to move closer to Albert Lea but still live in the country but not too far out. So we shall see what plans God has for us.

It is so funny too how I have to pay for all this advertising for radio and papers and I am finding out that word of mouth is still the good ol fashion way. Yaaa for the ones who enjoy shopping at more store! I really hope they all feel like they are at home and in a very relaxing atmosphere. Another funny thing I pay for advertising but you would not believe all the people visiting me as well to sell their products. Funny how that works. Phone calls I never knew that there are so many card machine sellers, Endless! Oh well I guess it keeps my hopping!

Well two weeks ago we took the girls for a hotel swim. That was actually pretty nice and the girls loved swimming. First I have not swam in awhile because I do not tan I do not want to scare people who might think I am a ghost! LOL Also, I could not seem to find a swim suit I really liked. I do not have my girlish figure anymore and the 2 piece, well lets just say I would not be CAUGHT DEAD IN IT! LOL I will tell you JC Penny's have some really nice one pieces that can make you LOOK GOOD. So thank you to them! HA The sweetest was my Kenzie seen me in and said "Mommy, you look beautiful!" That was so sweet! And she says she likes all my spots on me. Funny. Kids are just so innocent!

Well my Macayla will be starting the big K oh my I know I will cry that day! One of my babes is leaving the nest. She sometimes wants to go and then she will cry and says she wants to stay home. She says she is also never getting married and she is going to live with me forever and take care of me. I will remind her of that when she is 16. Maybe I should record her saying that.

Kenzie is going to start Jumpstart, a program that gets them ready for the big K. She seems excited but says she will miss me. She is really my little baby peanut and I remind her that she has to only go 2 days a week so she can still be with me. She likes the sound of that and smiles.

I can not remember if I told you all this but I go back first week in September to re-do one of my moles. The biopsy came back positive and it is already growing back so that will be cut out and hopefully be gone. Then just regular check ups every 3 months. I am also having big problems with my feet. I got shots of Cortisone in them yesterday and actually I worked myself up for nothing. My Dr. is soooo good. He sprays the spot so it will freeze then injects with Novocaine, then just changes the tube and puts the cortisone in. The only down fall was that I had the worse hot flashes that were 5 times worse than my regular ones! Believe me I needed to shower! My feet are feeling way better hey at least I could get out of bed and walk. I did not need the bed and the walls to help me crawl the first 5 min. of my morn! I am still walking funny still walking kind of the front pads so the heels do not get hit so hard. Fun!

A friend of mine asked me what will I be like at her age, she is about 10 years older than I. I told her I will be in one of those electric cars chasing her around. Ha Ha Ha she laughed her butt off!!!!

Well since my last writing my sister, my nephew and my niece have all had Birthdays and I did not post. Well I actually forgot to post so I apologize for that but I gave presents and cards. So I did remember. I always do. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY~ Tonya, Courtz and Jordan!!!!! I baked it for all of you MMMM yummy!!!!! I hope you guys enjoyed your fun day at Chuckie Cheese!!!

Also, my mom sounds like she is doing better. I know it has been a long haul. Little by little. She got to go to the fair so yaa for her. I know she likes the fair. My step dad rented one of those electric chairs for her so I am glad she got to hit the fair. I bet she did not have as much fun as I did with my monkeys HA. (if you read my last blog you will read how much fun we had) Ya right.

I promise to get pictures taken of our Grand Opening and put them on so you will have to check back. Almost 2 am have to hit the sack morning comes toooo soon.

~Just another Manic Monday~

Ok I know I am behind again! Always a day late and a dollar short. LOl Well, I have our shop up and running and it feels like home! Our names Scrapping on the Go and Pictures Delight.
My part is the scrapbook end of it with all the products you need to scrap those keepsakes. And my hubby's part is the photography end. Portrait studio, Kodak picture Maker and some photo restorations. So I have my logo as,"Create a Memory~Scrap a Keepsake". I figure they go hand in hand. We also sell a few other goodies like Beautiful sayings that are wall clings. Oh my , do they ever add art to the walls. I have mmmm yummy smelling candles and I have to work on the chocolate end of it yet. I know when I am scrapping away it is coffee or latte please, the flickering and relaxing fragrance of candles, soft music and tantalizing sweet chocolate. YUM YUM!!!!

So anyways, we have been busy and then of course the house slacks off and on our days off we clean house. Oh how fun!


We went to the fair yesterday. The girls had a lot of fun! Good old fairs hot weather, greasy fat foods, drippings of malt down my pants, sticky stuff on my arm and hands, balloons hanging off of my bag because after the girl's beg for them they do not want them, and then the I am hot and I am tired followed by carry me~ Oh yes the fun days at the fair we will always remember. But you know what, it would not be a memory if all the same rituals did not go on every year. LOL

Today the girls are pooped out yaa for me because I found time to write in my blog.

After the fair we went to visit my mother who had hip surgery. I will just say she is doing ok. The hospital has traumatized her to no end and I feel bad for her. I will not go into details about it but I can say she is not the same right now. I hope she gets better but I do hope she has a speedy recovery with her hip and has no more pain in it.

On the way home it was kind of funny. It is a trip home on old back highways, eyes squinting into the windshield watching for deer. We did run into two deer at separate times too. Then we heard a ding oh ya that means we are running low on gas and forgot to filler up! So we were also so thirsty! Our trip home is about an hour and a half and it is about midnight and we are half way there. Do you know how hard it is to find a pop machine anymore? We finally did find one into the third little blink of the eye town. Thank goodness.

So today feels like Sunday but it is really just another Manic Monday. It is so humid you can cut it with a knife, it rained out earlier so it is dreary. I am actually glad I am not seeing the sun today because my skin does not like it. Speaking of the sun and my skin maybe some of you would like to hear my results from my biopsy. Another subject.

I had had the one biopsy done and that was a re-do. The Dr. got all of the Stage III Melanoma out and now I just have about 3 inch scar. I will live with that it sure beats the alternatives. I had 3 more separate moles removed and I only have to have 1 of them re-done to get the roots out so that one will all be gone as well too. I will get that one done in September and then I will be checked out every 3 months. Thank you God.! God listens to each of us. Sometimes we may like the outcome but he does listen.

So with a book now written, my coffee got cold, one child is sleeping and a house to finish cleaning because there are no fairies here to do it I shall close. I bid you all a wonderful week and HAPPY MANIC MONDAY!!!!!

~Tick Tock~

Tick tock, so it goes on and on. Went back to the Dr today. I thought it was suppose to be Tuesday, thank goodness for reminder calls because it was today. Lucky me! I am starting to look like a stitched scarecrow!

Now three moles were taken out today. Waiting game started and I go back on Tuesday to find out the results and to take my stitches out. He said if these ones come back ok then they will only take out a couple more and then I will just have to be looked at every 3 months instead of every month. Plus he knows I know what to look for so we will just keep in contact.

I tell ya there is no modesty going in to see him! See all tell all! LOL We laughed about it today while I was trying to hide under the sheet they gave me. Now if I looked like one of those hot Victoria Secret's Models I could just flaunt it all. Ya right! Actually I like my Dr. and his nurse. He has such a good bedside manner.

What really bites is one of the moles was taken off on the right side of my shoulder blade. So I move the stitch does not and it feeeeels so good. I am still praying and being strong. I do not feel worried about this one but I am still not letting my guard down.

Well I suppose I better get to bed it is 3 am and I will be draggin in the morn with the kids bellowing for chocolate milk. Who invented chocolate milk anyway?? Thanks a lot. HA
